A woman died late Monday night in what authorities are calling a "hoarder house" fire.

The fire was reported around 10:30 p.m. near North 80th Street and West Mill Road in Milwaukee.

The Columbus Fire Department recently put into service new self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA). This was made possible by a grant from FEMA which totaled over $170,000 with a local match of approximately $9,000. Captain Scott Hazeltine was primarily responsible for the grant acquisition. The Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to a fire that took place on Highway 83, just south of Lee Road in Hartford early Saturday, May 20th. A gas leak late Friday night sparked an evacuation of dozens of people at an assisted living home in Oconomowoc. Fire damaged a basement in a single-family home Wednesday night. A fire Tuesday afternoon sent two people to the hospital.
