House destroyed by fire on Lakeshore Drive in the town of Linn

Firefighters were called to a blaze today on Lakeshore Drive for a house that was engulfed in flames and has been declared a total loss. The fire was reported about 10 a.m. in the single-family residence at W3219 S. Lakeshore Drive. Deputy Linn Fire Chief Jason Smith said at least one person was in the home at the time, but he escaped from the blaze.

One-story residential home up in flames in Suamico

A fire broke out in a one-story residential home on Friday afternoon. The Suamico Fire Department says around 5 p.m., firefighters responded to a report of a fire located on the 4000 blocks Sandburr Trail. Upon arrival, law enforcement says they found a one-story home with visible smoke and flames transpiring.

Wausau Fire Department Station 1 gets new sign

If you drive past the Wausau Fire Department on 6th Street you may have noticed a change. There's a new sign. It was put up this week, replacing the old hand-painted sign board. Firefighters say the hand-painted signs were great, but they struggled to keep the program going with increased calls and training hours.

Green Bay Fire Department Adjusts to Life Under COVID-19

The Green Bay Fire Department has kept its stations largely locked down during the COVID-19 Pandemic. Citizen called a hero for actions in Fond du Lac house fire

Pharmacy Donates to Crivitz Rescue Squad in Marinette County

Crivitz Pharmacist, Ezra Gruszyniski, presented a check for $1,200 to Denise Busse, EMS Coordinator for Crivitz Rescue Squad. In keeping with CDC guidelines to not shake hands, the two share an elbow bump of gratitude. This donation will greatly help offset the increased cost of supplies and extra equipment needed to keep the members of the rescue squad safe while responding to calls during the COVID 19 pandemic.

Racine Fire Department reports 4 fires in 6 days all caused by smoking materials

The Racine Fire Department is concerned after they responded to four fires in six days all caused by smoking materials not thrown away safely. "I’m very alarmed at the outbreak of fires in the city due to the same cause," said Racine Fire Lt. John Magnus. Greenfield Fire Department donates thank you meals to those in need

12 trailers burn in Lakeland Campground fire

The Rock County Sheriff’s Office is helping investigate a fire in which 12 campground trailers burned Tuesday night. Milton Fire Department Battalion Chief Pete Mory said he knew of no one occupying the trailers when the fire broke out at Lakeland RV Campground. No injuries were reported. Only two of the trailers appeared salvageable, Mory said.

Authorities investigating fatal fire in Pleasant Prairie

The Pleasant Prairie Police and Fire Departments are investigating a fatal fire that happened on Tuesday, April 21. Authorities say they were called to the area near 104th and Main Street around 11:02 p.m. for a mobile home fire. After crews put out the fire, a body was located inside. The identity of the victim is not being released at this time.

Racine Fire Department battles another structure fire blamed on discarded cigarette; 3 others in past week

Black River Falls Fire Chief retires

Steve Schreiber, the fire chief of the Black River Falls Fire Department is retiring next month. Schreiber served a total of 33 years and 7 months as a public employee. He said his passion for the job came in 1980 as he started as he joined the Alma Center Volunteer Fire Department. Throughout his career, Schreiber has had many jobs-as a first responder, police officer, and eventually the fire chief in 2003.

Phelps Volunteer Fire Department Gets Wildland Gear

Fire causes $60,000 in damage to duplex in Milwaukee

Firefighters on Tuesday morning, April 21 responded to the scene of a duplex fire near 39th and Wright in Milwaukee. Officials say one person in the lower unit was able to exit the home safely. No one was in the upper unit when the fire broke out. The fire caused an estimated $60,000 in damage to the structure and contents.

Special memorial for fallen Appleton Fire Driver Engineer

Two companies worked together to dedicate a special memorial for a fallen Appleton Fire Driver Engineer. Appleton Fire Department Driver Engineer Mitch Lundgaard was killed last year when a man opened fire after a rescue call in downtown Appleton. Police shot and killed the gunman. Karl's Transport and South Side Design and Graphics partnered to make a memorial trailer for Lundgaard.

Human remains found after Marinette County house fire

Human remains were discovered at the site of a house fire in Marinette County Monday morning. The Sheriff's Office says the remains are believed to be an elderly woman who lived at the home. Investigators are still working to make positive identification and notify family before the name is released.
