A cabin in Three Lakes caught on fire Monday afternoon and continued burning for hours.
Three Lakes Fire Department responded to a call from a neighbor of the cabin on Bundo Road around 4:00 p.m.
"We got a call that there was a fully engulfed cabin and we responded. Right now we've got the initial knock down and [we're] doing some mop up right now," said Three Lakes Fire Chief Dave Kirby.

The Keep the Wreath Green Campaign returns to Wausau this holiday season. The campaign aims to prevent as many holiday-related fires as possible.
There's a big wreath hung up in the front of the Wausau Fire Department building on Grand Avenue.
Each time there's a house fire, firefighters replace a green bulb with a red one to remind everyone to be safe.

Some Wisconsin lawmakers are pushing to change state law and allow first responders to treat pets when responding to an emergency.
Wisconsin's veterinarian practice act only allows for veterinarians to give animals aid, WDJT-TV reported.
Two bills are in committee in the state Legislature that would give first responders immunity for treating animals during an emergency call.

The FAA and Palmyra Public Safety Department are investigating a plane crash that injured two people Sunday afternoon.
According to officials, the Jefferson County Sheriff's dispatch center received numerous calls that a plane went down in a wooded area east of Palmyra Airport.
When rescuers arrived on scene they found the airplane in a wooded swamp.

The Mesa Fire and Medical Department will allow private businesses to sponsor health and safety messages on its fire trucks.
"We're going to be very particular about who we work with," said Deputy Chief Forrest Smith. ABC15 got a first look at how the messaging will appear. Each truck will feature two small decals with bold text over a logo.

An Orlando Fire Department paramedic who was one of the first to respond to the Pulse massacre is now out of a job.
Detectives said Joshua Granada recorded a medical call and then played it to co-workers who weren't on the call. Orlando fire officials said Granada, who worked out of Station 10 on Vineland Road, responded to the Doubletree Hotel across from Universal in August.

North Shore firefighters are investigating a house fire on the 2100 block of West Greenwood Road in Glendale.
Fire officials said it happened just before 1:00 a.m. When they arrived to the scene they saw fire coming through the roof and it was spreading into the walls. Firefighters said the fire started in the living room.

The Kiel Fire Department on Friday responded to multiple structure fires and an accident at a construction site.
The first incident, a house fire, was called in at 12:35 p.m. on the 1200 block of Dewey Street in Kiel. Witnesses said they saw smoke coming from alongside the residence, and responding firefighters found flames visible extending up to the roof-line.
