‘Not aggressive enough’: Healthcare, first responder unions urge DC mayor to change approach on coronavirus testing

The organizations fear doctors, nurses, paramedics, and other healthcare workers will be unable to treat patients if too many of them get sick.

Student learns to sew, donates masks to Beloit first responders

Two dead in Mount Pleasant motorcycle crash

Indiana City Rolling Out Weekly Testing of First Responders and City Workers

Fire at Southwest Florida International Airport destroys over 3,500 rental cars, port authority says

Milwaukee: Woman dies after house fire in Bay View, firefighters urge working smoke detectors

An elderly woman died Saturday after a house fire in the Bay View neighborhood. “There was smoke pouring out of every window the basement, the vents in the roofs, there was just smoke coming out of everywhere," said neighbor Chris Haertl. Fire and smoke engulfed this house on the corner. A neighbor said three people lived inside: a woman in her 80s, her son in his 60s, and a roommate.

Black River Falls Fire Department responds to apartment fire

Firefighters rescue deer that fell through ice in Marinette

A deer is safe thanks to firefighters who rescued the animal when it broke through the ice Thursday. Marinette Fire Department Asst. Chief John Pennings said crews were called to the scene on the Menominee River around 12 p.m. Thursday afternoon. The assistant chief adds that crews were at the scene for about an hour, saying it took about a half hour to rescue the animal, and then they stayed on scene for 30 more minutes to nurse the deer back - since it was hypothermic.

Two Mukwonago fire department personnel are in self-quarantine

New England Patriots’ airplane ships 1.2 million face masks from China to US
