A contract firefighter who was driving a water tender truck was killed Monday morning when it went off the road and crashed in Napa County near the Nuns Fire, Cal Fire officials said.

Former Phoenix Fire Chief, Alan Brunacini, has died Sunday.
Brunacini, who served as fire chief for 28 years, joined the Phoenix Fire Department in 1959. State officials say a Presho volunteer firefighter died of a medical condition at the scene of a weekend fire.
According to the South Dakota Fire Marshal's Office, 54-year-old Donald Manger died Saturday while working at a structure fire in rural Lyman County.
