2 Colorado firefighters hurt when truck falls into sink hole

Two Hanover firefighters and another driver were taken to the hospital after a crash early Tuesday morning, according to 9NEWS sister station KOAA. A van was swept into a sinkhole near Old Pueblo Rd and Birdsall Rd in Fountain around 2:30 in the morning. The driver of the van left the scene but minutes later, another car was swept away, KOAA reported.

Massachusetts firefighters now come equipped with bulletproof vests and helmets

'Pop can alarms' shelved, new fire alerting system live in almost every Nebraska city's fire station

4 ways to reduce firefighter injuries and prevent fatalities

Indiana fire chief recalled as 'great human being,' tireless community man

Many residents of Sullivan County are in mourning following the unexpected death of a long-time community leader. Clay Shidler, chief of the Hymera-Jackson Township Fire Department, died Monday at Terre Haute Regional Hospital after crashing his vehicle in northeastern Sullivan County.
