One man remains in critical condition after an intense fire at a Brooklyn apartment building that firefighters say was sparked by a charging lithium-ion battery. The fire broke out inside the building just before 6:40 a.m. Thursday on Avenue M in the Midwood section. At least four people were hurt in the fire.

Protecting the protectors: West Virginia's firefighters, police officers gain partial-disability benefits

Firefighters and police officers are brotherhoods that intersect when the public calls, and recently, when there’s a call for change in the law regarding partial-disability benefits. California nonprofit organization repurposes old fire hoses to prevent chains from sparking fires

Virginia fire & rescue department learns American Sign Language to bridge gaps within the community

Two people were critically injured after their SUV collided with a trailer carrying barrels of oil near Giddings, authorities say. According to Texas DPS, at around 10:49 a.m. on June 23, troopers responded to a crash that happened near the intersection of US 290 and FM 180 in Lee County. 'Last Station' miniature fire museum dedicated in New York

VIDEO: The Dexter Fire Department celebrated its ‘Last Station’ project with a ribbon cutting Sunday. The ‘Last Station’ is a miniature museum next to the Dexter Historical Society, dedicated to the history of the fire department.
