VIDEO: Massive Fire Breaks Out in Massachusetts

Smoke was visible miles away after a fire broke out Tuesday night in Milford, Massachusetts. Aerial footage showed massive flames engulfing a three-story building on Haven Street. Fire crews from Milford and multiple neighboring communities responded. No one was injured, fire officials said. Access to water was a problem for firefighters.

Researchers in Washington State update database to help first responders identify fentanyl

Researchers in Washington are updating a database on different types of fentanyl to keep first responders safe when they arrive to the scene of an overdose or crime scene. The idea is to put that information into a handheld device that officers or firefighters can use so they know if the substance they have found is dangerous.

NBA player shares big night with Delaware firefighters, first responders who saved him four years ago

It was March 25, 2018, and then high school standout Bones Hyland was in his room in his family’s Delaware home after an AAU game. He was watching the Kansas vs. Duke Elite Eight game on his laptop and talking to a friend when his room started to fill with black smoke. The home was quickly engulfed in fire and Hyland was forced to jump from his second-story window to safety on the ground.

VIDEO: Farm in Ohio catches fire after several explosions

Several explosions lead to a fire at the Timbuk Tree Farm in Licking County early Tuesday morning. Tennessee firefighter DNA powers 9/11 research

DNA from more than 200 Nashville firefighters was used to study the long-term health of 9/11 first responders at the World Trade Center. A new study featuring research from Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) used the samples to determine 9/11 first responders were more likely than their peers to have a genetic mutation that can cause blood cancers or cardiovascular disease.

Former Red Sox pitcher graduates from Massachusetts Firefighting Academy

A former Boston Red Sox pitcher who appeared in games during the club’s run to a World Series victory in 2018 recently graduated from the Massachusetts Firefighting Academy, officials announced Monday. Michigan fire department offers unique, specialized training for firefighters, EMS and police

Building at under-construction Lost Island Theme Park in Iowa a total loss after large fire

Semi-truck hits parked firetruck in Louisiana forcing firefighter over ledge of overpass

A Lafayette firefighter was injured after being forced over the ledge of an overpass when a semi-truck hit a nearby firetruck. The Lafayette Fire Department was on the scene Thursday night of a crash on Interstate 10 westbound near the Interstate 49 split. What to Know About Deltacron, the Potential New COVID Variant Combination of Delta and Omicron
